This part of my portfolio provides samples of web and interface designs that I have done, arranged with the most recent first.

Olympus Shepherds

I created the design and organization for this site
based on my interviews with the site owner. |
EMUtah
|
My responsibilities for this site involved updating
the main page with new news and information, and in designing new
areas of the site, like the Ask a City Official and the Crosswords
sections. (Site no longer exists and I do not hav an archive of it for display). |
Main Street Market

I proposed to create a web site for this company, but
they declined to follow through after I submitted several designs.
However, these designs show the variety and creativity that I bring
to a web site. |
Manage Content
before after |
The initial design for this web site application was
not very intuitive or useful, I designed a mockup that was usable
and understandable. |
NextPage
|
I was responsible for maintaining the documentation
portal site, creating search form templates, and organizing the documentation. (Site only accessible for customers). |
Thesis
|
My Master's Thesis is a study of web site design on
an international level. |
Universal Alerts
|
I helped to do usability testing and design reviews
of this software for NextPage. |
Dutch National Paralympic Committee
|
Part of my responsibilities during the 2002 Winter
Olympic Games was to provide a brochure to the visiting dignitaries
about us volunteers. We opted to do a web site. I corroborated with
the other volunteers on what kinds of information to include, but
I was solely responsible for the design. |
Home For Sale
|
I based this design on the flyers that realtors hand
out to clients, and I also tried to make this site a place where people
could feel like they knew the house intimately. |
LPAR GUI |
I was responsible for the wizards, but I also helped
in testing and providing design feedback on the main software component. |
Information Center Advisors
plan trouble |
These advisors make it easier for users to get the
information they need quickly. Unfortunately, they used frames and Java, which are no longer supported. |
Information Center Prototypes
|
When I first got to IBM, I thought that the documentation
portal was quite lackluster, so I developed several prototypes that
improved the experience and brought the design up to par with the
times. Unfortunately, they used frames and Java, which are no longer supported. |
Utah Community Health Centers
final v1 v2 |
I did several interviews to find out how to best design
this site. I have also saved 2 earlier prototypes so you can see the
progression of the design. |
Deseret Language and Linguistics Society
|
I volunteered to design this web site as a kind of
online brochure for a symposium, where people could come, get information,
and download the proposal form. |
Corel
|
I interned at Corel for a summer as the Intranet Publisher. I helped
come up with the new design and implemented it across the entire
intranet site. I also added some advisor-type web applications to
help users with their printer problems.
Note: Not all the links in this site work since this is
a backup capture I made before the site was finished.
