Variables are values in Information Portal’s searching pages that appear to be coded into the software (or static), such as text, fonts, and so forth. You can change these code values through different types of variables. Also, you may have a copied variable file that you no longer use. If so, you can delete it.
Before you change variables, you should check the connection information for your Information Portal searching. This ensures that the variables work properly.
For a description of the variables that you can change, see the Information Portal User Interface Customization Guide.
