You can specify which locations can make requests in Horizon. (A location can be a branch, department, or any other segment of your library that you define.)
To specify locations that can request items
1 | Set up request privileges (circulation parameter 29). |
For general instructions, see Setting Up or Editing a Circulation Parameter. Then use the remaining steps of this task to customize the parameter.
2 | In the Value field, do one of these options: |
• | If you do not want to allow requests, enter “0” (zero). |
• | If you want to allow requests but do not want to prioritize them, enter “1”. |
• | If you want to prioritize requests, enter a number between 0 and 255 to specify the default priority level. |
Horizon gives this priority to all hold requests for which there is not an overriding exception. (For more information, see Prioritizing Hold Requests .)
3 | Save your changes. |
