Horizon Information Portal ships with an additional profile that displays Information Portal in plain black text on a white background. This profile complies with ADA Priority 1 guidelines for web content accessibility. This profile lets users navigate through Information Portal without a mouse. It also lets users take advantage of third-party devices (such as text readers and text-to-speech software) to help them interact with Information Portal.
The ADA-compliant profile uses its own set of XSL stylesheets that you edit separately from the other Information Portal user interface stylesheets. The complete profile, including the XSL stylesheets, is installed as part of the basic Information Portal installation. (For a list of the ADA-compliant style sheets, see the Information Portal Customization Guide.)
You typically activate the ADA-compliant profile during installation. However, you can activate it later using the Information Portal Administration tool. After you activate the ADA-compliant profile, you apply it to the Information Portal library profiles for which you want to make it available.
