Changing XSL Processor Settings

You can change the settings on your XSL processors to increase Information Portal efficiency. The connection settings and the ratio (the amount of time the Application Server communicates with a specific XSL processor in relation to the other processors it can use) work together to determine Information Portal’s response time. If Information Portal is slow, you can change ratios and connection settings to maximize your existing XSL resources. (For help in determining how to set up a suite of XSL processors, call SirsiDynix Support.)

To change XSL processor settings

1 Open your Information Portal Administration tool web site.
2 Click the Setup tab.
3 Click the Other sub-tab.
4 Click the XSL Processors option.

The Administration tool displays the XSL Processors page:

5 Do one of these options:
If you want to change the ratios of your processors, enter in the new numbers and click Change Ratios. A ratio is the amount of time that the Application Server will use this XSL processor in relation to the others it has to use.
If you want to make other changes to a processor, do these steps:
Click the processor’s IP address.

The Administration tool displays the Edit XSL Processor page.

Change the fields that you want to change. (For more information on these fields, see the table in Adding an XSL Processor.)
Click OK.

The Administration tool returns to the XSL processors page.

To change other processors, repeat steps 1 through 3 in this table.
6 When you finish making changes in Information Portal, restart the Application Server process (JBoss).
