Deleting a Fugitive Facts Record

If you have a Fugitive Facts record that you no longer need, you can delete the record.

To delete a Fugitive Facts record

1 Start a New Search.

To do this, press F2 or find the process in the Searching folder on the navigation bar.

2 Search for the Fugitive Facts record that you want. (For instructions, see Viewing a Fugitive Facts Record or the “Searching” chapter of the Horizon Basics Guide.)
3 Proceed with the search until Horizon displays either a Titles List window or the Bib Detail window.
4 Do one of these options:
If Horizon displays a Bib Detail window, continue with step 5.
If Horizon displays a Titles List window, choose the fact that you want to delete.

To delete more than one fact at a time, press ALT and click on each fact that you want to delete. If you choose more than one fact from a Titles List window, Horizon sends all the records that you select to Cataloging.

5 Press F10 or choose Edit, Send to.

Horizon opens the Send To dialog box.

6 Double-click the process to which you want to send the record.
7 Choose File, Delete Record.

Horizon displays a message asking if it is OK to delete the record.

8 Do one of these options for each record that you sent to Cataloging:
If you want to delete the Fugitive Facts record, click OK.

Horizon closes the message box and deletes the record.

If you do not want to delete the Fugitive Facts record, click Cancel.

Horizon closes the message box, and the bib record remains open in Cataloging.
