You can view or print statistics about how quickly and how often Information Portal interacts with users and with your database. These statistics can help you make informed decisions about ways to improve your system’s performance.
System statistics can give you an idea of how to meet current and future usage requirements by indicating whether you need to add more equipment to speed up both response and access time, or whether adjusting your software settings will do enough.
For example, if your users complain about slow response times with Information Portal, you can check these statistics and use them to help you decide whether to change your existing profiles, change the ratio of use on your existing XSL processors, or add more XSL processors.
The System Statistics report contains this information:
• | How many users connected to Information Portal. |
• | How much time it takes for Information Portal to respond to a search. |
• | How much time it takes for the XSL processors to convert XML to HTML. |
