Horizon Basics

This guide assumes you have a basic knowledge of your Windows operating system, Horizon, and working in Horizon windows. At the minimum, you should know how to:

Use a mouse or keyboard to do basic tasks, such as choosing menu options and buttons.
Work with windows (selecting, moving, minimizing, restoring, maximizing, sizing, scrolling, closing, and so on).
Work with dialog boxes.
Log in to Horizon, change operators, and log off Horizon.
Search for records on the Horizon system.
Work in Horizon list and edit windows.

If you do not know how to do these tasks, see the Windows online help or Windows Basics.

Additionally, you should know how to:

Use the Launcher environment, including activating a Horizon process. (For more information on working in the Launcher environment, see Overview of the Launcher.)
Customize the Launcher, as necessary. (For instructions, see Customizing the Launcher.)
