Deleting a Reservation

If necessary, you can manually delete an existing reservation that needs to be canceled. Media Scheduling automatically deletes a reservation when the borrower returns a reserved item and it is checked back in, or if a reservation passes and the item was not checked out.

If you need to delete a reservation for an item that has already been checked out, you must first use Circulation to check in the item and then use Media Scheduling to cancel the reservation.

If you attempt to delete the reservation before you check in the item, Media Scheduling displays an error message.

To delete a reservation

1 Search for the borrower record for the reservation you want to delete.

Media Scheduling displays the reservation schedule for the borrower name you searched for:

2 In the Reservations pane, highlight the reservation that you want to delete.

To select multiple reservations, hold down the CTRL key while clicking multiple reservations.

3 Click Delete.

Media Scheduling asks you to confirm that you want to delete the reservation.

4 Click Yes.

Media Scheduling removes the reservation from the Reservations pane.
