Checking that the MARC Map is Listed in the Full Bib Display

After you know which full bib display that the PAC flavor uses, you can check to see if the MARC maps you created are set up to display. (For more information on finding the full bib display, see Finding the Full Bib Display Assigned to a PAC Flavor.)

You check this by accessing the view for the full bib display. If the MARC map you created is not in the view for the full bib display, then you must add it to the view. (For instructions, see Adding a MARC Map to a Full Bib Display View.)

To check that a MARC map is listed in the full bib display

1 Find the full bib display assigned to the PAC flavor in which you want Horizon to display the MARC map. (For instructions, see Finding the Full Bib Display Assigned to a PAC Flavor.)
2 Open the mq_view view in the Table Editor.

Horizon displays the Search window with the mq_view index highlighted.

3 Search for the view of the PAC full bib display that you want to check or load all views.
4 Choose the view you want. (For example, choose “bibdisp.”)

Horizon opens the Edit Horizon View window:

5 Click Page Down or resize the window until Horizon displays the List View group.
6 Click on the list in the upper-right corner of the group.

Horizon displays a drop-down list of every column and MARC map assigned to each column that displays on this full bib display:

7 Check that the MARC map that you created is assigned to a column on this list.
8 Do one of these options:
If the MARC map is assigned to a column on the list, check for other columns with MARC maps that you created.
If the MARC map is not assigned to a column on the list, you must assign the MARC map to a column in the current full bib display.

(For instructions, see Adding a MARC Map to a Full Bib Display View. For more information, see “Changing or Creating a MARC Map” in the “MARC Maps” section of the “General Setup” chapter in the System Administration Guide.)
