A language code is a three-letter acronym that a Z39.50 search uses to recognize a language. If you want searches limited by language to work properly, you need to use this code to map your indexed languages to the corresponding Z39.50 language code.
To map a language code
1 | Access the Edit Z Server page of the zServer Pro Administration tool. (For instructions, see Accessing the zServer Pro Administration Tool.) |
2 | From the drop-down menu next to the language you want, select an index. |
3 | Click Edit Z Server Indexes. |
The Administration tool displays the Edit Z Server Indexes page.
4 | Click Language. |
The Administration tool displays the Languages page:
5 | For each language that you have indexed, enter the correct 3-letter language code. |
If you do not know the code, you can click the “MARC 21 Code list for Languages” hyperlink to access a web site that lists languages and their associated three-letter codes.
6 | Click OK. |
The Administration tool displays the Edit Z Server Indexes page.
7 | Stop and restart the Application Server process (JBoss). (For instructions, see the appropriate Linux, UNIX, or Windows task for “Starting and Stopping the Application Server Process” in the Processes section in the Horizon Application Suite Installation and Upgrade Directory.) |
