Printing Issue Slips for a Group of Borrowers

You can print issue slips for a group of borrowers all at once. When printing, you specify whether Horizon prints driver slips, borrower slips, or both. If you print both, all the driver slips are printed first, followed by all the borrower slips. The slips are printed in a default format. (For an example, see Types of Issue Slips.)

You determine which borrowers are included by specifying a checkout date. Only borrowers with items checked out on that date are included. (For example, if you specify the current date, only borrowers with items checked out today are included.)

The author, title, and subject information may not be printed for each item on the borrower slips, depending on the MARC maps you previously created for Home Service. (For more information, see MARC Maps.)

To print issue slips for a group of borrowers

1 Start the Circulation Reports process.

The default location of this process is the Circulation folder on the navigation bar.

Horizon opens the Circulation Reports window.

2 Choose Home Service, Print Slips.

Horizon opens the Home Service Slip Printing dialog:

3 If you want to print driver slips, mark the Drivers Slips field.
4 If you want to print borrower slips, mark the Borrowers Slips field.
5 Enter the checkout date you want in the Date Checked Out field.

Only borrowers with items checked out on that date will be included.

6 If you want to print the issue slips for another location, click Change Location and highlight the location you want. Then click OK.
7 When you are ready to print the issue slips, click OK.
8 If Horizon displays a Print window, choose a printer from the Name drop-down list, then click OK.
9 When printing is complete, set aside the issue slips so they can be used during distribution.
