You may have elements in a search result display that you no longer use. If so, you can delete the element from the display.
For browse displays, you can delete only the see and see also elements; you cannot delete these system-required elements on a browse display: Data, Title, and Count. If you inadvertently delete a see or see also element from a browse display, you cannot add it again; you must add a new browse display with the elements that you want and delete the old one. To delete an element from a search result display
1 | Access the display from which you want to delete an element. (For instructions, see Adding or Accessing a Search Result Display.) |
2 | Find the element that you want to delete. |
3 | Click Delete next to the element. |
4 | Click OK to confirm the deletion. |
5 | When you finish making changes in Information Portal, restart the Application Server process (JBoss). |
