You can add phone numbers and allow the borrower to opt in for SMS messaging through the Horizon client. If it has been configured, borrowers can also enter their information and preferences through the Horizon Information Portal (see Enabling SMS configuration in My Account).
To edit a borrower record for SMS
1 | Open the Table Editor or access the borrower record from the CKO or CKI dialog box. |
2 | For Table Editor, go to the borrower_dms Mq View and select to open it. |
For the CKO or CKI path, go to Borrower > Find Borrower (or press F4).
3 | Locate the borrower record that you want to edit. |
4 | From the Table Editor, click Edit. |
From CKO or CKI, go to Borrower > Edit Borrower (or press F6).
5 | Navigate to the Phone section of the borrower record if needed. |
6 | Add a new phone or select an existing phone from the list to use for SMS messaging. Spaces, hyphens, parentheses, and any other non-numerical digit is removed by the processor, so they are allowed when the number is written. |
Spaces, parentheses, dashes, and other punctuation that is allowed for phone numbers in the ILS system do not affect the sending of the SMS message. When the SMS message is sent, the system removes all punctuation and characters that are not integers.
Note:
7 | Specify the appropriate values for the phone number and select which notice types the borrower would like to receive. For more detail, see Fields: Edit Borrowers. |
8 | Repeat steps 6-7 for each phone the borrower wants to enable for SMS messaging. |
9 | When you are done making changes, click Save and then Close. |
