Setup Tasks

Setup tasks are tasks that involve configuring the software and are performed after the software is installed.

Setting up a closed stack location. This task includes creating a closed stack location, creating pickup areas, and setting up lead times for pickup areas.
Setting up closed stack print parameters. This task includes setting up printers and assigning them to a closed stack location. If you want to, you can also assign a backup printer to a closed stack location.
Setting up Horizon Information Portal for Closed Stack Access. In order for staff members to be able to view staff-only pickup areas, you need to import your staff borrower types in Information Portal.
Determining closed stack statuses. You need to review all your item statuses and set up the statuses that you want to be available for closed stack requests.
Setting up closed stack circulation parameters. You need to set up Horizon with specific Closed Stack Access circulation parameters.
Setting up the Closed Stack Request List by location (optional). If you have multiple locations, you can make the Closed Stack Request display only those requests being processed at a specific location.
