You stop the InterBase processes after you stop the other Information Portal processes. InterBase processes are independent of the Application Server processes or XSL processes. If they are already running, you can stop and start the other processes without a problem.
To stop an InterBase process running as a console application
1 | Open a console session to your Application Server. |
2 | At the “#” prompt, enter this command: |
cd /usr/interbase/bin
3 | At the “#”prompt, enter this command: |
./ibmgr -shut -password masterkey
The InterBase process stops and the system returns to the “#” prompt.
4 | Close the console window. |
To stop an InterBase process running as a UNIX daemon
1 | Open a console session to your Application Server. |
2 | At the “#” prompt, enter this command: |
/etc/init.d/ibserver stop
The system displays this message:
Interbase Server stopping
