Batch Item Delete lets you delete from your library database a group of item records that you no longer want. You can set default parameters for item deletion, including special processing and mapping information for bibliographic data that you want to save. Library staff can use this process only if you grant them access rights through Horizon Security. Some of the defaults that you set apply to any item record deleted in Cataloging. However, they do not apply to the deletion of a fast-added item at Circulation checkin or to the deletion of an item when it is withdrawn from Reserve Bookroom.
