You can also create a shortcut that lets you enter an entire word or phrase. (For example, you can create a diacritic shortcut for “Random House.”) You can edit any existing diacritic shortcut. (For example, you might want to change the keystroke combinations that you use to enter a diacritic at an insertion point.)
You can create or edit these types of shortcuts:
• | Diacritic Keyboard Shortcuts. Keys or keystroke combinations that let you enter a particular diacritic. |
(For example, you can enter Shift+/ to insert an inverted question mark.)
• | Diacritic Button Bar. Displays a button that is a graphic representation for each diacritic. |
• | Diacritic Shortcut Bar. Displays a list of each diacritic, the keystroke shortcut, and the description defined in Horizon. |
To create or edit a diacritic shortcut
1 | Open the Customize Launcher window. |
2 | Click the Diacritics tab. |
3 | Do one of these options: |
• | To create a new diacritic shortcut, click New. |
• | To modify an existing diacritic shortcut, click Edit. |
Horizon displays Assign Character(s) to Shortcut window:

6 | Repeat steps 4 through 5 for each diacritic shortcut you want to edit. |

Horizon saves your settings and closes the Customize Launcher window.
