Creating or Editing a Diacritic Shortcut

The list of shortcuts on the diacritics tab of the Customize Launcher window includes most diacritic symbols used in foreign languages and language transliterations. If there is a diacritic shortcut that you want to use that is not in the list, then you can create it.

You can also create a shortcut that lets you enter an entire word or phrase. (For example, you can create a diacritic shortcut for “Random House.”) You can edit any existing diacritic shortcut. (For example, you might want to change the keystroke combinations that you use to enter a diacritic at an insertion point.)

You can create or edit these types of shortcuts:

Diacritic Keyboard Shortcuts. Keys or keystroke combinations that let you enter a particular diacritic.

(For example, you can enter Shift+/ to insert an inverted question mark.)

Diacritic Button Bar. Displays a button that is a graphic representation for each diacritic.

Diacritic Shortcut Bar. Displays a list of each diacritic, the keystroke shortcut, and the description defined in Horizon.
