Finishing an Account, Category, or Search-Type Tab

If you want to finish an Account, Category, or Search-type tab, then complete the steps in this task.

To finish an Account, Category, or Search-type tab

1 If you have not already done so, access the Select Tab Type page. (For instructions, see Starting a New Tab.)
2 Choose one of these options:
Account. Choose this option if you want this tab to display an Account page, which displays information that is usually displayed in the My Account tab (for example, holds, patron information, items checked out, and so forth).
Category. Choose this option if you want this tab to display a Category page, which displays a search category group that you have created. (For more information, see Creating and Organizing Quick Searches.)
Search. Choose this option if you want this tab to display a Search page, which lets users perform searches in Information Portal.
3 Click OK.

The Administration tool displays the Add Sub-Tab page.

You must add at least one sub-tab to this tab.

4 If you want to add a sub-tab to this tab or do other tasks with the sub-tabs for this tab, see these topics:

5 If you added a new tabset, assign the tabset to the library profile for which you want to use it. (For instructions, see Changing the Tabset Assigned to a Profile.)
6 When you finish making changes in Information Portal, restart the Application Server process (JBoss).
