Adding a Tab

If you want to, you can add a new tab to your Information Portal tabset. You can then add sub-tabs to the tab. If you add a tab that displays a custom page from your library, then you must add at least one sub-tab to the tab.

Here are the different types of tabs that you can add:

Account. Choose this option if you want this tab to display an Account page, which displays information that is usually displayed in the My Account tab (for example, holds, patron information, items checked out, and so forth).
Category. Choose this option if you want this tab to display a Category page, which displays a search category group that you have created. (For more information, see Creating and Organizing Quick Searches.)
Search. Choose this option if you want this tab to display a Search page, which lets users perform searches in Information Portal.
URL. Choose this option if you want this tab to display a separate web page that is outside of Information Portal.
