Updating a Fugitive Facts Record
If you need to change a fact’s question or answer, or if you need to change incorrect information, you can update the Fugitive Facts record.
To update a Fugitive Facts record
To do this, press F2 or find the process in the Searching folder on the navigation bar.

Search for the Fugitive Facts record that you want. (For instructions, see Viewing a Fugitive Facts Record or the “Searching” chapter of the Horizon Basics Guide.) |

Proceed with the search until Horizon displays either a Titles List window or the Bib Detail window. |

Do one of these options: |

If Horizon displays a Bib Detail window, continue with step 5. |
|
•
|
If Horizon displays a Titles List window, choose the fact that you want to update. |
To update more than one fact at a time, press ALT and click on each fact that you want to update. If you choose more than one fact from a Titles List window, Horizon sends all the records that you select to Cataloging.

Press F10 or choose Edit, Send to. |
Horizon opens the Send To dialog box.

Double-click the process to which you want to send the record. |
|

Click on the text in the subfield that you want to update. |
Horizon highlights the subfield with the insertion cursor.

Update the text. (For more information, see “Editing a Field in a MARC Record” in the “MARC Editing” chapter of the Cataloging Guide.) |
