If you want to, you can have Information Portal perform a search when users click on a sub-tab. (For example, you could have Information Portal search for and display Hot Picks [best sellers list].)
To execute a search from a sub-tab
1 | Add the tab or sub-tab you want. (For instructions on adding a tab, see Adding a Tab. For instructions on adding a sub-tab, see Adding a Sub-Tab to a Tab.) |
2 | In the Additional Parameters field, enter the search that you want Information Portal to execute in this format, including the braces: |
{universal_ID=term}
For example, if you wanted Information Portal to search for Hot Picks (best sellers list), you might enter something like this:
{BSL=bestsellers}
3 | In the XSL Template field, choose NO associated template, can be used for a URL redirected search. |
4 | Complete any other fields as necessary. (For instructions, see Changing the Information for a Sub-Tab.) |
5 | When you finish making changes in Information Portal, restart the Application Server process (JBoss). |
