Checking that a MARC Map Displays in a Full Bib Display

After you create a MARC map, you should check that the map is listed in the full bib display (or PAC view) that you want. Here are the PAC views that use MARC maps:

bibdisp
biblist
savbiblist

When you check that a map is listed in a view, you are finding out what MARC map is currently linked to the view. This information tells you what Horizon displays for the full bib display. (For more information on the views, see “Assigning a View to a PAC Flavor” in the “Searching Setup” chapter of the System Administration Guide.)

To make sure a MARC map is able to display, do these steps in order:

Find the full bib display assigned to the PAC flavor that you are using to search Community Resources.

Check that the MARC map is listed in the full bib display (or view).
