Gathering Information for a Fugitive Facts Workform

Fugitive Facts are generally stored as questions with their answers. Therefore, for whatever information you want to store on the system, you need to formulate a question.

For example, you may often be asked what the population is of your city. From the example, the information you need for the Fugitive Facts record is the question, “What is the population of (name of city)?” The answer can be a simple figure or a more detailed answer such as, “September through May: 29,000 within the city limits; 33,000 including unincorporated areas. June through August: population swells to 40,000 with summer visitors.”

For questions requiring research, the easiest way to create your Fugitive Facts record is to create a paper form that you and your borrowers can use to collect questions. However, you may prefer to enter the information directly into the record.

The default Fugitive Facts workform contains the tags and subfields defined for a Fugitive Facts record (question, answer, and source of information). This helps you to know what information to collect. However, you can customize the tags and subfields to include even more information. Use this table to see where to look for additional information about the tags and subfields you can use:
