Choosing Alternate Profiles

You can choose the alternate profiles that you want to be available for users in Information Portal. You can choose up to three of your existing profiles to become links on the user pages. When an Information Portal user chooses an alternate profile link, Information Portal automatically switches them over to that profile. You might want to do this if you want to make another branch available for your users to search.

To choose alternate profiles

1 Access the profile you want to change, or add a new one.
2 Click Profile Information.

The Administration tool displays the Profile Information page.

3 Scroll down to the Alternate Profiles section:

4 Update these fields to choose the alternate profiles:

Alternate Profile 1, 2, 3 (optional)

You can choose up to three profiles that you want to make available as links on the user pages.

Your users can click these links to automatically switch to the alternate profile.

5 Click OK.

The Administration tool returns to the Edit Profile page.

6 When you finish making changes in Information Portal, restart the Application Server process (JBoss).
